Research in various areas of environmental problems is articulated in the Department of the Environment within the framework of the statutory Research Laboratories with the following main themes:
Water and Air Quality, Biodiversity Management, Waste Management, Energy Management, Remote Sensing / Geographic Information Systems, Environmental Policy and Management, Environmental Microbiology and Biotechnology.
