Welcome to the Student Union of the Department of Environmental Sciences!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Student Union of the Department was established in the academic year 2022-2023, aiming to strengthen the student community and promote student rights and interests. Comprising all active students of the department, who actively participate in the actions and initiatives, the union promotes cooperation, solidarity and academic progress.<\/p>\n

The union elects a seven-member Board for its better functioning. All student representatives are elected during the student elections held each year in the spring semester. Our purpose is to strengthen the student voice, organize educational and social events and support the creation of a supportive and active academic environment for all students in the department.<\/p>\n

Student Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Student Union is an active part of the student community, organizing and supporting a range of academic, cultural and recreational activities.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf3f Environmental Group<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our environmental group organizes actions that enhance environmental awareness and sustainability, such as:\"\"<\/p>\n

\u2022 Voluntary clean-ups of natural areas and coasts<\/p>\n

\u2022 Tree plantings and reforestation initiatives<\/p>\n

\u2022 Educational workshops on ecology and sustainable development<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udfb5<\/strong> Musical Ensembles & Cultural Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Student Union has taken the initiative to create musical groups, aiming to offer students a creative alternative through music. The Rectorate has already approved the initiative and we are in the process of forming the groups. At the same time, we also support other cultural initiatives, such as:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Theatrical performances and artistic activities<\/p>\n

\u2022 Collaboration with cultural groups of the University<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf93<\/strong> Academic & Scientific Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our purpose is to enhance the academic progress of students through:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Participation in scientific conferences and workshops<\/p>\n

\u2022 Organizing seminars and workshops with area experts<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf89 Student Entertainment & Social Events<\/strong><\/p>\n

Student life is about more than just studying! Our union organises entertainment events, giving students the opportunity to meet and get to know each other, have fun and create beautiful memories. Some of our activities include:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Student parties and theme nights<\/p>\n

\u2022 Excursions and student outings.<\/p>\n
