The Department’s excellence in research is monitored through the annual recording of the number of publications in international journals and the fluctuation of relevant impact factors (Impact Factor, IF). At the same time, the recognition of the Department\u2019s research output is reflected in the number of citations its publications receive.<\/p>\n

Publication Output and Impact<\/strong><\/p>\n

Overall, the Department of Environmental Sciences is cited as the originating institution in 74 publications (Scopus database, February 2025) for the period 2020-2025, with an average of 14.4 publications per year.<\/p>\n

For 2024, the average number of publications per faculty member is 1.4, with an average impact factor of 3.65.<\/p>\n

Recognition of Published Research<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Department\u2019s average annual citation count is 117, while the total number of citations for the period 2020-2025 is 583 (Scopus database, February 2025).<\/p>\n
