Spiliotis Xenofon – Professor
Dr. X. Spiliotis, is a chemical engineer, he was professor at the Department of Civil Engineering of the TEI of 
Thessaly, for more than 25 years, and since 2019 he is a professor at the University of Thessaly and director of the Research Laboratory of “Chemical and Construction Materials Technology Laboratory”. He has worked as a technical consultant in various companies and has been a member of the board of directors such as EBETAM, EPA of Thessaly etc. From January 2016-2018 he was the director of the Technological Research Center of Thessaly and from 2017 – 2019 the rector of TEI Thessaly. He has been teaching for years quality control, building materials and general chemistry. His research interests included issues of inactivation of dangerous toxic wastes and muds, as well as their declassification through their integration in ceramic building materials, utilization of secondary raw materials and circular Economy issues. Conclusively, he has a very extensive research experience, with numerous publications in international journals and Proceedings of international conferences, with great recognition from the scientific community. X. Spiliotis has been the scientific coordinator of many co-funded and private research projects, as well a scientific collaborator in a large number of research projects.
