Department of Environmental Sciences Policy on Bullying, Victimization and Harassment
The Department of Environmental Sciences, in particular, follows a general framework for dealing with the various forms of bullying, victimization and harassment: the development of a proper spirit of prevention and immediate elimination of the above mentioned phenomena from the staff. All staff, (academic, administrative, etc.) have a duty to watch their behaviour both among themselves and towards students, and also report anything considered to be inappropriate behaviour between students to the relevant bodies (Department and/or UTH Academic Affairs Office and Student Affairs Office).
From an institutional point of view, the relevant provisions of the Civil Service Code, the Criminal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Civil Code are constantly in force. There is also the Department Student Affairs Committee, as well as a professor-adviser for each student, which, among other things, have the task of detecting students’ particular needs and problems, such as bullying, victimization and harassment, etc.
