Research Programmes
As part of the dynamic research activity of the Department of Environmental Sciences, various research programmes are being implemented, covering a wide range of topics. These programs aim to generate new knowledge and address critical environmental challenges. This research is supported by funding from both national and European sources.
Departmental Research Funding
The total research funding of the Department for the five-year period 2020-2024 amounts to 652.113,68€. Of this amount, 32.4% comes from national entities (both public and private), while a nearly equal share, 30.7%, corresponds to the funding of active national projects through European funds and initiatives. Additionally, 11.5% comes from the funding of active European projects (HORIZON, etc.), while the remaining 25.5% corresponds to funding from international companies and organizations (20.2%) and other sources of funding (5.3%).
