ORGANIZATION OF STUDIES

Undergraduate studies in the Department of Εnvironmental Sciences are extended over eight semesters, two per academic year.

Winter semester: September to January

Spring semester: February to May

Five to seven courses are taught in each semester. Most of the courses involve lecture attendance, practicals and tutorials. Attendance in practicals and tutorials is mandatory. A Degree in Environmental Sciences is awarded after four years of study, the successful completion of 41 compulsory courses corresponding to 202 ECTS, 8 optional courses or alternatively 6 optional courses and a two-month internship at an enterprise/company/educational institute of the Environmental Sciences sector corresponding to 28 ECTS, and the fulfilment of a diploma project corresponding to 10 ECTS.
